The new season arrives on Max in 2025

The second season of Peacemaker, a series that is now part of the DCU, has gained a new teaser within the preview that Max released for 2025. Check it out below: In addition to James Gunn, the second season will have Greg Mottola, director of Superbad: It's Today, directing some episodes, and a new name in the cast: Tim Meadows, from Mean Girls and SNL, will play Langston Fleury, a new member of A.R.G.U.S.. It doesn't stop there, Gunn also confirmed that Frank Grillo will also be in the second year of the series starring John Cena. Grillo will play Rick Flag Sr. in DC's new animated series Creatures Commandos and will appear in DC Studios' first film, Superman, which premieres in July 2025.
Continuing where The Suicide Squad (2021) left off, Peacemaker returns home after recovering from his encounter with Bloodsport – only to discover that his freedom comes at a price. Played by John Cena, Peacemaker leads the group that includes Clemson Murn (Chukwudi Iwuji), Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) John Economos (Steve Agee), and new recruit Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks). The first season of Peacemaker is available on Max. It is worth remembering that, according to DC Studios' plans, the same actors should play their characters in animations, games, and live-action productions.
Creatures Commandos will star Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Maria Balakova as Princess Ilana Rostovic, Indira Varma as The Bride, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, David Harbour as Eric Frankenstein, Sean Gunn as G.I. Robot and the return of Steve Agee as John Economos. The exact story of the series is unknown, but we can be sure that we will see the group hunting monsters and horror creatures such as zombies and werewolves. Some familiar faces from the old DC universe will be back, such as Weasel, Sean Gunn's character from The Suicide Squad, and the return of Steve Agee as John Economos, seen in The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. Viola Davis' Amanda Waller is also expected to appear.
The series premieres in December on Max.
